The winery:

El viñedo de EDRA se encuentra en la localidad de Ayerbe, prePirineo de Huesca, Spain. Indicación Geográfica protegida de Ribera del Gállego.
Sobre un suelo drenante y arcillo-calcáreo, Edra recupera una tradición aletargada, donde las vides densamente plantadas de las variedades Syrah, Merlot, Tempranillo, Grenache, Viognier y Parraleta, entre otras producen entre 1,5 and 2 Kg por cepa.
El suelo del viñedo se cubre de una capa vegetal que mantiene la humedad, genera materia orgánica y compite con las cepas. Esto, el estrés hídrico y el contraste térmico que sufren la cepas en verano, hacen que las raíces de las vides tengan que buscar suelos más profundos, aspecto que confiere a los vinos de EDRA esas notas de mineralidad características en cata.
En EDRA son viñadores apasionados… Las espalderas permiten una gestión del asoleo. Mediante los trabajos manuales de poda, deshojado y gestión de alambres, consiguen el control personalizado de maduración de las uvas.
