Red wine Viñas del Jaro – Thirst of Cana 2012
Some wines from certain sectors of our vineyards older of the Payment of Chafandin, throughout the process of parenting, in certain vintages, move more elegance and personality in the successive tastings, it exists as a “Blow of Heart“. These barrels, are selected in the first six months after each harvest and separate to make a custom track. The year that occurs this event is bottled under the brand name Thirst of Cana, and gives origin to the wine more emblematic of the Winery.
Tasting notes: VIÑAS DEL JARO – THIRST OF CANA RED 2012
- Nose: Fruity and floral Aromas (violets) on shades elegant, minerals, balsamic and spicy.
- Mouth: Wide, juicy and with volume, but at the same time with a fine tour full of expression and balance. End very durable and exciting.
Viñas del Jaro situated on the outskirts of the town of Pesquera de Duero, in which is considered to be one of the most emblematic areas of wine production in Spain, the Denomination of Origin of Ribera del Duero.
The winery was founded in 1997 using as a basis the Finca El Quinon of 65 hectares of extension, and following the winemaking philosophy of constant study and analysis of the different sectors and Payments of our vineyards, planted mainly with the variety Tinto Fino (Tempranillo) and with two small parcels of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot.
The ongoing work of field allows us to understand the most of our vineyards to better understand their grapes and wines, that allows us to offer the personality more interesting in each one of our grape of the union: GRAPE / Soil / Weather.
